FAQs

What is a hdln (headline)?

A hdln is a summary of your week's most important metrics and activities, delivered right to your inbox.

How does it work?

hdln aggregates relevant data from leading workplace applications - Gmail, Slack, Salesforce, & Google Calendar (more to come) and provides actionable insights for individuals and teams. Following a one-time set up, hdln runs in the background, capturing the week’s activities and delivering a weekly summary at the time and date of your choice. (For this phase of our beta all hdlns are sent out via email on Mondays at 7 AM EST.)

Then what?

Once you receive your hdln share the results your with friends, colleagues, & professional network on LinkedIn, Threads, & X. Track changes and patterns related to how you work week-over-week.

Who owns the data that hdln collects?

You do! hdln is here to help you better make sense of the crush of information that we all handle each week. We never share nor resell any of the information that you entrust us to gather on your behalf.

How secure is hdln?

hdln meets the highest industry security standards. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2). Data at rest is encrypted at rest (AES-256), and strict access controls are used to limit who can access data.

Is hdln for my HR department?

No, hdln is built for you and isn’t shared with anyone - managers, supervisors, etc. - without your consent.

How much does hdln cost?

hdln is free to use.

What do I need to know in order to get the most out of hdln?

One of the beauties of hdln is that there is no learning curve in order to use it. If you can open an email you can use hdln! We aren’t asking you to learn how to use yet another workplace app. Just connect the applications that you already use and hdln uncovers what’s most relevant to you each week.

Who is hdln for?

hdln is for anyone who is part of an organization that uses Gmail, Slack, Zoom, or Google Calendar and wants to better understand how they spend their time each week at work.

I’m having trouble connecting my apps to hdln. What should I do?

We suggest that you disconnect whichever apps you are having trouble connecting, refresh the My hdln page, and then reconnect your apps.
